1947 Christy Mathewson (HOF) was indeed an anomaly among his peers. A graduate of Bucknell University, the cerebral Swede wsa articulate, well versed in literary matters and an early advocate of player rights. He died in 1925 of residual mustard gas poisoning. Presented here is a 1947 Posthumous Christy Mathewson Day Program. This program was sponsored by the Factoryville, Pa. Men's Civic Club as a reverential acknowledgement of their beloved native son. Full and complete. No missing pages or cut outs. Light wear.
