Before the 1st Radio Broadcast (Circa 1919) of a World Series Game, crowds would flock to places like Convention Hall (the original built in the 1800's)in Philadelphia provided, of course, that you didn't have a ticket to the Ballpark. A large, time-delay electronic screen would flash information on the Game in progress. Since this was era of vaudeville, a barker with a megaphone might be on the stage (in tandem with the screen)yelling out things like "Collins just made a 2 Base Hit and the Athletics now lead 1-0." Drinks and refreshments were served to give the whole experience a genuine World Series feel. Great Philadelphia Athletics and World Series collectible. Creases. Vg condition.
