The beloved Mattie was the recipient of a "Special Day" of testimony honoring him at the Polo Grounds on Sept. 30, 1921. Full and complete (16) page program. Includes photos of "Big Six" and John McGraw together; Mattie team photo with his 1905 World Champion Giants; Mathewson delivering his patented fastball and the Bucknell graduate sporting his World War I military regalia. In addition, there is a box score of Mathewson's 1st Game on July 17, 1900. Both covers have come loose from contents but are present. Shows some spotting in place. Rips, tears and folds are evident. Some writing on front cover. Historic program despite the wear. Fair/Good.
