1953 John "Jack" Coombs (Philadelphia Athletics)was a World Series hero for the Philadelphia A's,a (30) game winner and a highly respected baseball coach for many years at Duke University. This is a personally typed letter from Coombs to friends in New Jersey. There is a signature at the conclusion of letter but it is hard to distinguish. Comes with letter and original mailing envelope. Vg condition.
